Bank Holiday Beer Festival Sat 29 Aug 2015 12:00

The Beers

Join us over the Bank Holiday weekend for the big Bamford Bank Holiday Beer Festival.

Our bank holiday beer festival this year is all about unusual flavours and awards winning ales!

At the palest end of the spectrum we have The Message by Revolutions Brewery, a classic cloudy wheat beer, infused with lime and coriander at 4.5%. Sounds delicious!

Ramping up the abv’s and one for all the hopheads out there, we have Clippings IPA, 6.5% by Flipside Brewery. This is a traditional strong IPA, golden in colour with crushed gooseberry and bitter white wine hop flavours.

To refresh the palette (and clear the head) we then bring things down to a lighter 4%, with Kaskadian by Big Hand Brewery, a light golden pale ale.

From the award winning Shiny Brewing Company we are delighted to offer Ella Topaz at 4%, a pale ale creatively showcasing the hops Ella and Topaz! Expect fruity flavours and citrus aromas.

Going slightly deeper in colour Roaring Meg (5.5%) by Springhead Brewery has a sweet citrus and honey aroma, giving way to a dry taste that beer lovers can't help falling for. It was rated one of the hottest beers in Britain, taking 12th place out of the top 100 beers and won Silver Medal at the CAMRA East Midlands Region, Champion Beer of Britain Competition 2014. One not to be missed!!

Our second ale by the award winning Springhead Brewery is Robin Hood Bitter at 4%, a chestnut brown traditional style bitter, which is perfectly smooth and dangerously drinkable, with a good head and plenty of hops coming through.

Our beer journey ends by bringing a taste of the North African souk to Bamford with the delicious sounding Cardomom Coffee Porter called Rock The Casbah by Revolutions Brewery, coming in at a sweet 4.5%.
